Arthritis & Autoimmunity Clinic is a private rheumatology practice in Sherman, TX. We provide patient-centered, high-quality, and compassionate care to rheumatology patients in our neighborhood and surrounding areas.
What We Do?
At our clinic, we treat a variety of rheumatic diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, myositis, vasculitis, polymyalgia rheumatica, ankylosing spondylitis, metabolic bone disease, osteoporosis, sarcoidosis, scleroderma, reactive arthritis, and psoriatic arthritis.
Our focus is to appropriately and promptly diagnose the disease with detailed history, physical examination, relevant laboratory work-up, and imaging studies to formulate a decision plan with the patient.

Most, if not all, rheumatic conditions are chronic, debilitating, and require long-term patient-physician relationships. Moreover, the treatment drugs can have side effects, hence we believe in having patients take charge of their care with their physician holding their hand at each step of the process.

Pooja Kumari, M.D., MSCR
Dr. Kumari completed her medical school at Sindh Medical College, Karachi. She did her internal medicine residency at Marshfield clinic medical center. She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research (MSCR) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and has a few journal publications. She has presented at various regional and national conferences. She successfully finished her Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Tennessee Health Science center.
OUR SERVICES
Diagnose and manage chronic musculoskeletal, autoimmune conditions, and diseases related to the joints, muscles, and bones.
Our focus is to appropriately and promptly diagnose the disease with detailed history, physical examination, relevant laboratory work-up, and imaging studies to formulate a decision plan with the patient. Rheumatic conditions are complex and often involve multiple organ systems. We aim to provide a holistic team-based approach with collaborative care of various experts of other specialties.

Infusions
We perform in-office infusions such as Rituximab, Infliximab, Symponi Aria, Orencia, Krystexxa , Alendronate and others to treat various rheumatologic disorders as well as osteoporosis in a very comfortable environment. Infusions are performed by a highly skilled nurse.
Joint aspiration and steroid injections
Joint aspiration is an office-based procedure to take out the fluid from a swollen joint. Sometimes steroid injection is given into the joint to relieve the inflammation and pain.

*FOLLOW UP*
Dr Kumari recieved test results for my daughter. Within a week of blood results Dr Kumari's staff had made an appointment for my daughter with a Dermotologist to futher investigate why she at 26 she is hurting.
I like that Dr Kumari and her staff take TOTAL care of my daughter and are continuing the course of action in order to help her.
Dr Kumari explained why further testing is needed for a correct diagnoses and asked if we had any questions.
We have no doubt that Dr Kumari will find the source of my daughter's discomfort and appreciate her knowledge."
